Sofia De=Francesco

Sofia De=Francesco is a multidisciplinary designer based in Porto, driven by a passion for craftsmanship and creative exploration. With over seven years of experience in the field, Sofia has honed her skills as a product designer and creative manager. Since 2018, the designer has been collaborating on multidisciplinary projects and has since received recognition as a young designer. In 2019, she achieved 1st place in the InovDesign competition, promoted by Fundação Serralves, and more recently, in 2024, Sofia was nominated as part of the 'Young Design Generation' by jury members of Lisbon Design Week. She has participated in collective exhibitions at national and international fairs, such as Feria Hábitat Valencia in Spain and ICFF New York. Inspired by Portugal’s rich legacy of craftsmanship, Sofia's portfolio reflects a deep appreciation for diverse manufacturing processes, blending industrial design methodologies with traditional crafting techniques. Her commitment to creating meaningful experiences through purposeful design imbues each project with a sense of authenticity, pushing the boundaries of innovation while exploring new materials and approaches.
