Croisière
Rudy Guénaire launches his first collection, called Croisière, in collaboration with Monde Singulier. The collection is an invitation to travel far and wide. The Beau Rivage chair is a tribute to the timeless chairs of the Bauhaus era, which still look as contemporary as ever. It is inspired by the romantic, erudite and carefree years of Mitteuleuropa, when people crossed the world to see the first buildings being born in Chicago. Beau Rivage seems to have always existed. Vaporetto to Murano is a bench seat in varnished wood and mohair velvet. Available in single, double and triple seating, it evokes the sea-sprayed, sun-drenched, salt-laden crossing that the little Vaporetto makes every hour from Venice to the beautiful glass island of Murano. Going to the Moon is a sconce in the shape of a star. The delicate light passes through milky opaline and warms up when dimmed. The chrome structure is almost reminiscent of a science-fiction spaceship. The wooden version transforms the sconce into an almost Japanese lamp. Cabin View is a porthole mirror in delicate cream lacquered wood, edged with varnished wood in some versions. The frame is inspired by the portholes of the first long-haul aircraft and the buildings of the 70s, whose facades were often constructed from window modules. Because there's no more beautiful way to see the earth than to fly over it. The Yachting in Acapulco Bay table is made of varnished wood, limestone and aluminum. The leg leaves an almost tribal pattern on the tabletop, which is a magnificent slice of polished limestone, gently grooved on its edges. It's at home on a yacht lost in turquoise seas or in any beautiful apartment.
